There's so much generic shit in music atm. Not that its all bad, there are so any good sounds around, but trends do rule so called 'underground' today. What happened to all thee no fvcks given outsiders just doing whatever they wanted too, because they just could. I guess you just have to look deeper in the interwebs tangled bullshit these days to find them.
Striborg is one ov these outsiders, and has been for a long time. Releasing album after album for 25 years ov raw black metal and even some dungeon synth all on his own.
But in 2018 he released an lp called Blackwave and changed shit up going even further outside, creating the sub genre 'Blackwave' with thee release. A mix ov cold wave with BM vokills.
Here is his latest blackwave effort, In Deep Contemplation.
A mix ov witch house, coldwave, some dungeon synth textures, even some EBM beats and industrial noises, all topped off (apart from some minimal clean vox) with Black Metal rasps.

Featuring, Scope of the Paradox (Ecuador) / Opium Grave (Australia) / Wampyric Rites (Ecuador) / Evil Forest (Chile) I got into this via Opium Grave who has released some ov the best BM/Blackwave/Black Ambient I've heard for awhile, and I also got to take the opening track ov the Clan Destine Records 10 year compilation Life Ist Krieg. I know fvck all about the other bands but they all have their sounds and the whole thing comes together really well.
